You will learn about Navigation and Chart work, Weather, Sailing and Motor Boats, Safety Aboard, Tides and Tidal Streams, Passage Planning and Pilotage. Our qualified instructor will teach you the theory you will find helpful to come sailing with us on our Club Yacht. Also this qualification provides the foundation that will enable you to go on the qualify as a skipper and to be able to charter a yacht in the sun with your friends. We do all the work collecting the class fees at £260pp (normally £360) including the RYA Packs, minimum number 10. Put all your theory into practice and join us on one of our Club weekend sailing experiences or follow-up with a practical Course at a RYA School to train toward a qualification for YOU to skipper your own charter yacht in the sun. The Day Skipper course has 40 hours of tuition and will run for 8 weeks and one weekend from 18:30 to 21:45 starting on Monday 18 th January 2010. Weekend 20/21 March. No session on 15 th February.
