It's nearly lunchtime, and its been a fun packed morning so far. After an amazing sunrise (we saw the first glimmer on the water then it came up amazingly quickly) the wind died to about 5 knots - not good. After a short nap, I came back on deck and the boat still wasn't heeled over at all.
However, we spotted more wind closer inland and headed towards it. It rose to about 10 knots then started increasing. In the distance was an ominous black cloud which looked like it could be very menacing - and it was.....torrential rain, and the wind quickly built from 10 to 20 to 32 knots. The crew worked quickly to reef the sails and almost as soon as it started, the squall was over. Its now very wet on deck, and I think those up there are looking forward to something warm for lunch!

It is possible to follow the progress of Babylon, and the other entrants via the following website: http://www.ksssyachttracking.se/ That said, I understand from the guys on board that only about 30 boats have trackers, so positions are approximate, and also Babylon is entered in IRC and not ORC
