Lutine is making great progress across the Celtic Sea, and are currently 50 miles from the Fastnet Rock, lying 37th in class. They look to be sailing closer to the wind than a number of their competitors. As mobile reception is not great in the Celtic Sea, we have not received an update from the boat recently! However they should be back in range this afternoon, as they get to the rock.

It is interesting to note from the race tracker, that their closest competitor at the moment is Hot Stuff, which is being sailed by a number of club members (including the club Admiral) and skippered by Michael Hook, ex club skipper and rear commodore. You can see updates from Hot Stuff via their blog. The two boats are approximately 3 miles apart at present, so should be visible to each other.
